Domain Name Management

To change name servers or manage other aspects of your domain name, please log into our billing portal and click on Manage Domains on the left hand menu. From here you can do everything that was done through our previous domain management system, plus listing all your domains with expiry dates, renewing domains and registering new ones using your previous details.

Renewals

You can renew all domain and hosting services via the Customer Portal.

Detailed instructions on renewing services via the Portal (if you need them):

1. Go to portal.hostroute.net and login using the details we sent to you titled “Your Access details for the Hostroute Portal”
(If you have forgotten your password, please use the “forgotton password” link on this page)
2. Click on the link entitled “SERVICE NAME
3. Select the number of years you wish to renew this domain for
4. Select your payment method and click renew
5. Follow the on screen instructions to finalise payment

How do I get help with my domain?

For advice on how to use the services provided with your domain name, please see the instruction email you were sent when you registered.

How do I change name servers or move to another web host?

Just log into our billing portal and click on Domain Management on the left hand side. You will see a list of all your domain names and be able to make these changes yourself in real time.

How can I get a list of all the domains I own?

All domains you have registered through us are listed in our domain manager. This can be accessed by logging into our billing portal and clicking on “manage domains” on the left hand side. You can control all aspects of the domain there through our automated system.

How do I recover my lost password?

Log into our billing portal, bring up the service page for the account you need a hosting account for. In the lower right hand corner, you will see a link to ‘Change Password’. Click on this and ytou will be able to enter a new password of your choice which will then work for control panel and FTP for that account.

How do I transfer a domain away from you?

This will depend on the type of domain. We do not charge for transfers away. You will need to ask the gaining registrar what information they require. You can log into our domain manager (acceesible through our billing portal) to get your EPP code if it’s a domain type that requires one.

How do I transfer a domain to you?

Please click here and follow the instructions. There is no charge for transferring .uk domains. Other extensions require a one year renewal fee to be paid at the time of transfer.
